How It Started

A corner of calm, hiding in plain sight

Yasma sits where you would least expect a favourite cafe to live — tucked into the Puma Petrol Station on Haile Selassie Road, directly opposite Noble Centre. Step past the pumps and the city goes quiet.

We built it for the way Masaki actually lives: laptop mornings that stretch past noon, long lunches that were meant to be quick, and Friday catch-ups that fill a whole table.

No dress code, no fuss. Just serious coffee, honest plates and a seat that starts to feel like yours after the second visit. It is why our motto reads the way it does: “More than a cafe. It’s home.”

We are serious about beans, water and timing so you do not have to be. Every pour gets the same care — whether it is your first flat white or your fourth filter of the day.

The People

Faces behind the counter

A cafe is only ever as warm as its people. Ours greet you from behind a display case stacked with the day’s bake — muffins, eclairs and choux lined up under the glow of the Yasma flower sign — and remember your order before you finish saying hello.

At the coffee bar, the first question is the bean: Kimbo, the Italian classic, or Kilimanjaro, grown up-country. They will steer you honestly to the one that suits your cup — and warn you, with a smile, that the dynamite chicken is not really made for sharing.
